On 10-20-17 at 1130, Lincoln High School’s School Resource Officer received information about a verbal threat to students and the school. The threat was vague in nature, however indicated the threat would have occurred on 10-20-17. With the assistance of Manitowoc Police School Resource Officer and Manitowoc Public School staff, an investigation ensued and a suspect was determined. That suspect was brought in for questioning and ultimately confessed to the threat. The student acted alone and no other suspects are being sought. The student was arrested on a charge of Making Terroristic Threats.
The Manitowoc Police Department takes threats of violence towards our schools and children seriously, will tirelessly investigate those threats, and pursue charges to the fullest extent of the law.
