A jury has convicted an Oconomowoc woman for killing her husband, hiding his body in her basement, and then claiming she was surprised to find him there. Waukesha County jurors deliberated for about six hours Monday before they found 53-year-old Amy Van Wagner guilty on both charges against her — first degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse. She faces a possible prison term of life plus five years when she’s sentenced on May 24th. Prosecutors say a financial dispute caused Van Wagner to shoot her 50-year-old husband Stanley to death in May of 2015 and bury the body below a basement tarp. Officials say she later ran to a neighbor’s house to claim that she found him dead.
