A volunteer with the lakeshore chapter of the ‘Ice Age Trail Alliance’ said Manitowoc County makes up a good chunk of the trail.  Dolly McNulty of Two Rivers says the ice-age trail goes thru sections including Point Beach..the Rahr School Forest and Schuette (shoot’-ee) Park.

Mcnulty points out that the trail ‘actually’ traverses ‘31’ of the state’s 72-counties.

The ‘trail’ includes ‘local’ partners like the cities of Manitowoc & Two Rivers..along with the Woodland
Dunes Nature Center.  On a personal note…McNulty says she and her sister have hiked 400-miles out of the yet-to-be completed 11-hundred mile trail.  It is marked with signage…and, an atlas & guidebook are available by going to iceagetrail-dot-org.
