Wisconsin Public Service and Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary are holding their annual “Name the Chick” contest. Students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade are encouraged to submit their names for the newly hatched peregrine falcon chicks. Students with the winning entries will get a certificate, a picture of the falcon they named, and an invitation to participate in the branding of the chicks in May or June.  They will also receive, along with their entire classroom, a behind the scenes tour of the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary’s Birds of Prey exhibit, a presentation by the Raptor Education Group, or a classroom presentation from an expert on peregrine falcons.
