Former Packer Linebacker AJ Hawk has informed Green Bay of his decision to ‘retire’ as a Packer.  Hawk, the team’s first round pick at #5 in 2006 out of Ohio State University, ranks number-‘1’ in franchise history with 1-thousand-1-hundred-18 career tackles in 9-seasons.  A.J. also played for Cincinnati in 2015 and appeared in ‘one’ game for Atlanta..last fall.  His 1-hundred-58 games played from 2006 to 2015 were the ‘most’ among NFL linebackers during that time.  Packers executive vice-president & general manager Ted Thompson said in making the announcement, “the first thing that needs to be said about AJ Hawk is he’s a good man.  He was a terrific teammate & a true professional during his career, and we were lucky to have him.  A.J. will always be a Packer.  We wish the best to him….and the entire Hawk family, and thank them for all that they gave to the team & the city of Green Bay.”
