The Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA welcomes Camisha Miller to their staff. Miller will serve as the YMCA’s Capital Campaign Coordinator and will work closely within the adjoining communities to enhance the steadfast capital campaign as it moves forward. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2002, Miller obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and to add to her education accolades, Miller will be graduating in May with a Master of Arts in Management/Organizational Leadership from American Public University. Among her educational experiences, she comes to the YMCA with extensive knowledge both in fund development and community engagement.
Miller commented, “I am eager to work with the YMCA Capital Campaign team and Y Board, who have done an enormous amount of work on this campaign thus far. The communities the YMCA serves are robust and that makes me enthusiastic about the on-going capital campaign project. I will say that from a fund development viewpoint, there is nothing more exciting than physically witnessing a project everyone supported come to life; I believe that is why we “fund development people”, love fund development as much as I do!”
Stephen Smith the YMCA Executive Director stated, “We are excited to welcome Camisha Miller to our staff; she most certainly has an energetic outlook on the progress of our capital campaign thus far, and she will be an asset to the campaign as we move forward.”
Deeply rooted in the community, the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA has served the Lakeshore since 1963. The YMCA is a community of people dedicated to serving others, nurturing children, and staying healthy in spirit, mind, and body. Our facility and programs are all tools we use to build for the future and how we respond to community needs.
