A 15-year-old boy remains hospitalized in critical condition after reportedly being stabbed by a friend whose mother said he was acting in self-defense. During a juvenile court proceeding in the case Wednesday, it was said that the stabbing suspect was in a study hall — and the victim and two of his friends walked in. The victim reportedly punched the suspect, and the suspect stabbed the victim once in the chest. A prosecutor said in court that both teens threatened each other on social media concerning a girl. The district attorney’s office is considering a charge of reckless endangerment in the case, and it expects to make a final decision today (Thursday) or Friday.
