A Manitowoc woman was cited for being in violation of a red traffic signal early Saturday afternoon that led to a 3 vehicle crash at the intersection of South 10th and Franklin Streets. Captain Larry Limney says that the collision, shortly after 1:00 PM, involved a Maritime Metro Transit bus. According to an eyewitness, the motorist was southbound on 10th Street wen she failed to stop for a red light at Franklin, causing her car to strike another unit broadside. That vehicle, which was being operated by a 76 year old Manitowoc man, then careened into the city bus, which was stopped at the intersection. The woman was transported to the hospital for possible injuries to her neck and shoulders, while the male driver sustained only a minor hand injury. Two passengers on the bus, a 28 year old female and a 34 year old male, from Manitowoc, where also taken to the hospital to be checked over for possible injuries.
