Carroll University of Waukesha will try again to have its first female president in its 170 year history. The private school announced Tuesday that Cindy Gnadinger (nah ding er) has been named to replace Doug Hastad, who’s about to retire. She comes in after Sara Stoelinga withdrew, two months after she accepted the job. The 50-year-old Gnadinger has spent almost 25 years in higher education — mostly at Bellarmine University in Louisville, where she’s currently an executive consultant and a member of the school president’s cabinet. Gnadinger received the Fulbright Scholarship in 2013, which let her go to France to visit numerous post secondary schools and explore opportunities for partnerships.
