Over the weekend, the Salvation Army, and Wilson Junior High School closed the shelter they had set up for the victims of the Parkview Haven fire. While the apartment complex will remain closed for renovations for at least the next couple of weeks, all of the displaced residents have found temporary or other alternate housing. Lt. Jeff Olson of the Salvation Army, stated that everyone is happy to be out of the shelter, and that it had been a rough road. He also said that they are in need of several items, including monetary donations. If you wish to help move people into their new homes, you are urged to contact the Salvation Army office at 684-7117.
