On this Memorial Day, I would like to remember a great man that gave his life in service of his country. CPL Justin D. Ross of Howard was killed on March 26th, 2011, when his squad came under enemy fire in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan. CPL Ross was 22, and was a part of the 428th Engineer Company out of Wausau.

Please remember why Memorial Day is a holiday. Remember all of those that have served, and given their life so you can remain free. Visit a cemetery. Raise a flag. Pray, for those who never made it back, but also enjoy those around you who did serve, and were fortunate enough to make it back.
