Charles Szyman, the Manitowoc doctor who has been charged with overprescribing medication, has a new trial date. He was originally supposed to be in court later this month,  but because the prosecutors have a conflict with that date because of another case,  they requested a the delay. Szyman’s attorneys did not object, so the new trial date is set for September 25th. Szyman is facing 19 counts of illegally distributing controlled substances by issuing controlled substances outside of his professional practice and not for a legitimate medical purpose.
