The Kern Family Foundation is making a 37-point-eight-million dollar gift to the Medical College of Wisconsin. That is the largest gift in the school’s history.  The money will be used to establish the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Institute for the Transformation of Medical Eduction.  Planners say they will develop new models for training medical students.  As a part of the program, the Wisconsin college will join six other medical schools to establish the National Transformation Network.
