On Tuesday, June 20th, 2017, at 11:59 pm, a City of Manitowoc Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 43 at County Road JJ, just outside of the City of Manitowoc. The car, which was a gold Dodge Intrepid, was occupied by two occupants and the officer identified several indicators of possible drug possession after questioning the two occupants.

The officer deployed his K9 partner, “Major,” around the car and the officer’s K9 gave a positive alert after sniffing the exterior of the car. The car was searched and Manitowoc Police Department Officers located approximately one and a half pounds of marijuana in the interior of the car.

The suspects, a 28 year old Green Bay woman and a 32 old Green Bay man, were taken into custody without incident. The 28 year old woman was held at the Manitowoc County Jail on a felony charge of Party to the crime of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The 32 year old male was held at the Manitowoc County Jail on a felony charge of Party to the crime of Possession of Marijuana with intent to deliver.
