The Milwaukee Brewers salvage a win at Atlanta, winning 7-0 on Sunday to avoid being swept by the Braves for three games. Zach Davies had his best outing of the year, giving up four hits in seven scoreless innings with one walk and no strikeouts as he improved to 8-4. Travis Shaw hit a two run homer as he boosted his team high R-B-I total to 53 — and Keon Broxton fell a triple short of the cycle as with a solo homer and three R-B-Is. Davies and Paolo Espino held the Braves to five singles, two from Ender Inciarte — and Braves’ starter Julio Teheran gave up all seven Milwaukee runs in a little more than three innings, as the loss dropped him to 6-6. The Brewers are now 12-5 on “getaway days” — games played right before leaving town — and they lead the National League Central by one and one half games on the second place Chicago Cubs with a day off today (Monday).
