Brewers’ reliever Wily Peralta is getting better after going on the disabled list eight days ago with a strained right calf. Manager Craig Counsell says the right handed Peralta threw a successful bullpen session on Tuesday — and he’ll probably have a couple more of those before getting a rehab stint at Triple “A” Colorado Springs during the All Star break. Counsell says some of Peralta’s friends questioned whether he was really hurt when he went on the D-L last week, after he had four bad relief outings that boosted to E-R-A to ten-point-five-four since being demoted as a starter. Meanwhile, Brewers’ rookie starter Brandon Woodruff is back at the team complex in Phoenix for more work on his strained right hamstring that prevented him from making an emergency start at Saint Louis June 13th.
