Keon Broxton capped a three run rally in the fourth with a two run homer. The Brewers won despite being outhit 8-6 as Trey Mancini had two singles in four trips — and emergency starter Jayson Aquino struck out seven in five and one third innings while taking the loss and falling to 1-2 in place of Chris Tillman who went on paternity leave. The National League Central leading Brewers are now at a season high tying seven games above .500 at 47-40, with a makeup game scheduled for this (Thursday) afternoon against the second place Cubs in Chicago.
