According to police reports, a woman was sexually assaulted on Manitowoc’s south side Tuesday night. The adult woman told police that she was approached by an adult man at around 9:30 PM. She claimed the man held a knife to her stomach and led her behind a nearby business, where he then sexually assaulted her. The victim led police to the location of the assault, where they were approached by a man while they were processing evidence. The man was later identified as the assailant, and was arrested on charges of 1st Degree Sexual Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. The unnamed man is being held in the Manitowoc County Jail pending a bail hearing.
