A former principal at Manitowoc Lincoln High School is being remembered…following his death early this week. William (Bill) Malinsky died Monday in Madison. He was 93. Biff Hansen, who retired from Lincoln ‘last’ year as an assistant principal, recalls Malinsky’s presence when ‘he’ was a student there in the early ‘70’s. Malinsky…served in world war ii as a bombardier and took part in the battle of Normandy. He was also injured in another flight mission when shrapnel struck him and his plane. ‘Hansen’ said he was able to learn more about the man by reading his obituary. Funeral services are set for noon Sunday at Gunderson east funeral & cremation care in Madison. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11am until the time of service.
