The Manitowoc Police Department has received requests to release the names of the persons involved in the motorcycle/bicycle crash that occurred on July 10 on Memorial Dr at Lilac Dr.
The driver of the bicycle was a 74-year old Manitowoc resident, Thomas Sitkiewitz. He sustained serious injuries and is currently recovering from those injuries. The driver of the motorcycle was a 20-year old Valders resident, Samuel Koenig. He sustained minor injuries. Thomas Sitkiewitz was issued a citation for failing to stop at a stop sign.
