No charges will be filed against a federal agent who rear ended a minivan into a fleeing suspect’s car on purpose. Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm says there’s no evidence to support a criminal case against Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives agent Andrew Elmer. Officials say Elmer rammed into 40-year-old Bruce Young’s vehicle last December in Milwaukee — and within seconds, Young shot himself to death. A-T-F agents were trying to stop Young for possessing explosives and planning revenge against people who hurt his fiancee, who had earlier took her own life. The state Justice Department investigated Young’s death similar to the way it looks into shootings by police officers — and while Chisholm said the agent had no intent to kill Young, a lawyer for the victim’s family says agent Elmer acted recklessly and should have been held accountable.
