The Milwaukee Brewers have lost two straight for the first time since June 28th, falling at Pittsburgh 4-2 Monday night. The Crew also lost catcher Stephen Vogt (vote) after a plate collision in which pitcher Chad Kuhl was thrown out trying to score in the fifth inning. Vogt was on the ground for ten minutes before he walked off — and he’s day to day with a strained neck and strained left knee, with an M-R-I today (Tuesday). Gregory Polanco drove in the winning run for Pittsburgh in the sixth with a bloop double — and Travis Shaw scored both Milwaukee runs on two hits including a double for Milwaukee’s only extra base hit of the night. Otherwise, the Brewers managed just seven singles and Josh Hader took the loss in relief and is now 1-1, as Milwaukee’s lead in the National League Central dropped to three and a half games on the second place Cubs.
