Drug Related Arrest Near Citizen Park

A 19 year old Manitowoc man is confined to the County Jail following his arrest on two drug related charges near Citizen Park Monday morning. City police responded just before 7:00 to the 1700 block of New York Ave after a caller stated two young people were inside a vehicle and either intoxicated or on drugs. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located a backpack containing large amounts of marijuana, a grinder, and scales. A roll of bills amounting to $170 was found inside the glove compartment as well. All items were traced to the 19 year old suspect, who now faces charges of possession with intent to deliver THC within 1,000 feet of a park, and possessing drug paraphernalia. The other man in the vehicle was released.
