Kiel Granted Sportsmanship Award

Kiel’s summer baseball team has won the WIAA Sportsmanship Award for the spring and summer state team tournaments. Kiel was making it’s first appearance in the tournament since 1967. The Raiders scored the first run in their semifinal matchup with Marquette, but lost 11-1 in six innings. It is the first time Kiel has won the award, and it makes a good sendoff for retiring Athletic Director Pat Geigel, who is a graduate of Roncalli High School.
