Racing: Kenseth Second In NASCAR Race, Derani Wins At Road America

Wisconsin NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth places second to Martin Truex Junior in Sunday’s I Love New York 355 race at Watkins Glen. The Cambridge native started 15th and he remains ninth in the Monster Energy Series point standings. But Kenseth is still three spots away from one of the 13 playoff spots this fall, still without a race victory this season. Paul Menard of Eau Claire finished 18th on the Watkins Glen road course, and he’s 22nd in the point standings — and Beloit born Danica Patrick took 22nd Sunday and she’s 28th in the point totals. At Road America in Elkhart Lake, Pipo Derani wins the Continental Tire Road Race Showcase for his first victory in 16 months in the I-M-S-A’s premier pro class.
