The Green Bay Packers have cut Letroy Guion. The nine-year N-F-L veteran would have missed the first four games of the regular season for violating the league’s performance enhancing drug policy — and Guion could have faced more league punishment, depending on the outcome of a drunk driving arrest in Hawaii June 21st with his court case still pending. The Packers announced the release of the 30-year-old Guion during practice Tuesday — he was not around to talk to teammates or reporters — and G-M Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy did not make statements about it, either. Guion played six years with Minnesota before spending three seasons in Green Bay, where he served a three game suspension in 2015 for being caught with a handgun and marijuana during a traffic arrest in Florida. He started 35 games during his time with the Packers, and has eight and a half sacks for his career along three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
