The Ashwaubenon Police Officer who was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 41 late last month has been released from the hospital. Officer Brian Murphy was responding as backup to a fire on the interstate late at night on July 22nd, when an intoxicated 28 year old Kalin McGuire struck him, resulting in lifesaving surgery. Many people were waiting for Officer Murphy outside the hospital, including officers, dispatchers, and loved ones. McGuire is facing criminal charges for the incident.
