On Tuesday, August 15th, 2017, at approximately 01:06 am, Manitowoc Police Officers were dispatched to an accident in the 1400 block of Hubbard Circle on the northwest side of the City of Manitowoc. Prior to arrival, officers were told that a car had struck a residence and the car left the scene of the accident.
Upon arrival, officers learned from the property owner that an older model, four door car with a silver bumper, had struck the garage door at the residence. The car was last seen traveling east on Hubbard Circle towards Kellner Street. A silver paint chip was recovered at the scene of the accident.
The garage door of the residence was damaged along with a supporting wall for the garage door. It is unknown what the total amount of damage will be to the garage/residence. The suspect car should have an unknown amount of front end damage; however it is possible that there could be damage to the rear of the vehicle. There were no injuries reported in this incident.
