A judge in Kenosha sends a city alderman to jail on a ten-thousand dollar bond, for allegedly harassing an ex girlfriend who broke up with him three and a half years ago. Fifty-four-year-old G. John Ruffolo was charged Wednesday with felony stalking. The state Justice Department says the woman left Ruffolo in February of 2014 and nine months later, police warned him to stop contacting her. But during the next 20 months, officials say surveillance cameras and a G-P-S tracker caught him going by her house several times on some days, occasionally dropping off wine and flowers. Ruffolo has been on the Kenosha City Council for almost 20 years — and he’s due back in court one week from tomorrow (Friday) for a preliminary hearing. about three dozen more times during May and June, according to the complaint.
