Two people have been shot to death by sheriff’s officers in southern and eastern Wisconsin, and the state Justice Department says it will investigate both incidents. The first one happened about eight Monday night near a house in the Kewaunee County town of Franklin. Sheriff Matthew Koski said a male suspect died and the deputy who shot him was not harmed — and he refused to give other details, saying he didn’t want to “undermine the investigation.” In Columbia County, officials say a deputy was responding to a domestic disturbance in Pardeeville Monday night and shot and killed someone at the scene. W-K-O-W T-V says the deputy is on paid leave while the state investigates.
