The name of the man involved in the fatal police shooting in Kewaunee County has been released. According to police reports, 22 year old Tyler Whitmire was fatally shot Monday night along Highway AB, and South Highway 29 in the Town of Franklin. Whitmire was allegedly threatening a woman in a nearby residence with a knife, and was shot after he confronted police. Whitmire was pronounced dead on the scene. The deputy was placed on administrative leave, while the investigation continues.
