A home in Sheboygan caught fire over the weekend, prompting assistance by the American Red Cross. According to Sheboygan Fire Department reports, the fire started on Saturday around 6:30 AM in the 700 block of Alabama Ave. The blaze was quickly extinguished by the seven fire crews that responded. The flames were all on the first floor, while a cat was rescued from the second. Fire officials estimated damage at $45,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
