The City of Appleton will be reopening two major intersections, with a new look. The intersections of Northland Ave and Richmond Street, and Highway JJ and Lightning Drive will both reopen on Friday with freshly finished roundabouts. The Communications Director for the city, Chad Doran called the roundabouts a good project from a safety standpoint, saying, “This is one of the most crash prone intersections in all of Outagamie County and certainly in the city as well.” One of the intersections is near Appleton North High School, and the timing couldn’t be better, as classes resume on Tuesday.
