Local Cross Country teams competed yesterday in the 25th annual Kiel Invitational. Valders won the 20 school Boys Team title with 30 points, paced by individual; champion Trevor Wenzel in a course record time of 15:55. Four other Viking runners finished among the top 10, including runner-up Cody Meyer. Valders is currently ranked #1 in the D-2 State Cross Country Coaches Poll. Host Kiel placed 5th, Roncalli #6, Two rivers #10 and Michicot #15. The Viking girls Raiders came in 3rd, Two Rivers wound up 5th, and the Jets of Roncalli were 7th.
