The Milwaukee Brewers take three of four from Washington, after a 7-2 win Sunday at Miller Park. Domingo Santana homered twice and drove in three runs as Brewer pitching held the Nationals to three hits — the fewest allowed by Milwaukee in a game this season — and Junior Guerra gave up a two run homer to Ryan Zimmerman in the ninth. Brent Suter surrendered two hits in three scoreless frames in his return from a rotator cuff injury — and four relievers followed for the Crew as Jeremy Jeffress got the win to improve to 3-2 while Edwin Jackson took the loss. The Brewers are now just a half game behind Colorado for the final N-L Wild Card, after the Rockies lost to Arizona — and the Crew has moved to within three and a half games behind the Central Division leading Chicago Cubs who lost to Atlanta Sunday. The Brewers open a series at Cincinnati today (Monday), with Chase Anderson going against Reds’ veteran Homer Bailey.
