Petition Seeks To Rename Texas Highway For Wisconsin’s Watt

An online petition seeks to name a Houston area highway for Wisconsin native J-J Watt. The Houston Texans’ football star from Pewaukee has raised close to 19-million dollars for Hurricane Harvey flood victims in South Texas. Now, Lindsay Duke of Houston has started a petition on Change Dot Org to name State Highway 99 as the “J-J Watt Parkway.” Duke says Watt wears Number 99 on the field, and the honor would be a “token of appreciation” for Watt’s fundraising efforts and his vocal support for the Houston area. The petition had more than 71-thousand signatures as of early this (Monday) morning — and Watt has had solid support in Wisconsin and elsewhere for his flood relief fund which is still open at YouCaring Dot Com.
