Manitowoc County will receive $400,000 in State Trust Fund Loans after the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands approved just shy of $2,000,000 in total loans at their meeting yesterday. The Town of Eaton will receive $125,000 to construct a salt shed, and the Village of Maribel will receive $275,000 to finance sewer and street improvements. The BCPL operates entirely on program revenue, without taxpayer money. 96% of interest earned goes to Wisconsin’s public Schools. Their 2017 earnings reached $32.1 million, which are the sole source of state funding for K-12 public school library materials.
