On September 7, 2017 at approx. 12:29 p.m. the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint that an electronic credit card reading device had been found at a fuel pump within Kewaunee County.
Upon arrival, officers where provided information that the device would have been installed sometime in the early morning hours of September 7th, and that the devices were installed on two different pumps at that location.
The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department along with all local law enforcement agencies has notified all fuel point services throughout Kewaunee County to determine the extent of this activity within Kewaunee County.

Until further notice, we are asking the public to please conduct payment for fuel purchases at the service counter within the respective business. Also, Please monitor any and all transactions taking place on your personal credit and or debit cards. Please report any suspected fraudulent transactions to your financial institution.
