Trailing by a field goal at the end of a defense-dominated first half, the Green Bay Packers turned it around to claim a 17-9 win over Seattle in the 2017 N-F-L season opener. Defensive end Mike Daniels stripped the ball from Seahawk quarterback Russell Wilson while sacking him in the third quarter. That set up a six-yard touchdown run by Ty Montgomery, putting the Packers up 7-3 and they led the rest of the way. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers hit 28-of-42 passes for 311 yards and had a 32-yard scoring pass to Jordy Nelson. The Packer defense gave up only 225 total yards to the Seahawks. Green Bay plays Atlanta on Sunday Night Football next Sunday.
