The Sheboygan Area School District broke ground on what will be their 20th student built house yesterday. The home is part of a program started in 1998, in which students in Career and Technical Education classes plan, and build the homes. Over 550 students have participated in the program, and proceeds from the sale go towards scholarships, tools and equipment and the purchase of land for subsequent years’ construction sites. This landmark home will be built at 5111 Green Meadow Place in Sheboygan, and is expected to sell for right around $300,000.
