A 17 year old fox crossing boy has been arrested after he allegedly attacked a police officer and strangled a woman. The incident took place on Tuesday on the 1100 block of Bertlein Court, where officers responded to a report of a disturbance. When they arrived, police found the teen with injuries on his hands. The boy had been arguing with the home owner over some dogs, when the woman locked herself in her room. The boy then began to punch his way through the door, and strangled the woman. After the police arrived the boy became agitated and began swearing and yelling at the officer. While trying to arrest him for disorderly conduct, the officer says the boy began punching the officer in the head. The teen was taken to the Winnebago County Jail on recommended charges of Battery to Law Enforcement, Strangulation, Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, and Disorderly Conduct.
