State Representative Paul Tittl of Manitowoc helped pass the Foxconn bill by voting in favor of it yesterday afternoon. Tittl called his vote “vote for a brighter economic future in Wisconsin.” Foxconn is looking to open a liquid crystal display (LCD) manufacturing plant in Southeast Wisconsin, a $10 billion investment. The state is set to provide $3 billion in incentives over the next 15 years in order to get the plant. One of the reasons Tittl voted in favor of the bill was that the tax incentives ar directly tied to the performance of the company, and are not guaranteed. He bill will now land on Governor Scott Walker’s desk for final approval.
