A 18-year-old Waupaca County man has been charged with reckless homicide for fatally shooting his friend in July during a game of cops and robbers. Television station W-B-A-Y reports that Austin Hovarter appeared before a Waupaca County judge this (Friday) afternoon where the court set his bond at 100-thousand dollars. Fifteen-year-old Jacob A. Peglow was shot to death at a home in the Township of Farmington. Investigators say a 14-year-old boy was also involved in the game. Hovarter earlier told investigators that he remembered pulling the trigger and Jacob saying, “I think you shot me.” Hovarter said that he had believed the gun to be unloaded.
