The ‘Forst Inn’ at Tisch Mills is reopening this weekend for theatre, music and cultural events. The building was owned & operated by the Forst family from ‘1868-until-1990’, when attorney Ron Kaminski converted the dance hall to the ‘Little Sandwich Theatre’ and produced many theatrical & musical shows. The ‘inn’ closed three years ago. The renovation is being undertaken by Michael Sheeks, Theatre Director and Lecturer in Communication Theatre Arts at UW-Manitowoc and realtor Catherine Egger. Sheeks said they took possession of the property August 11th.
The Forst Inn will have its’ inaugural opening gala this Saturday night with a special performance by jazz vocalist Janet Planet. Opening in the tavern at 5:00pm is the acoustic duo ‘Unwound’, consisting of Peter & Gloria Pivonka.
