Starting next week Monday, the Point Beach Nuclear Plant will be performing maintenance on their sirens. The sirens are located within 10 miles of the plant, which is located in northeast Manitowoc County. During the testing, residents may hear actual siren activations up to three minutes, and notice activity going on around the siren sites. Routine maintenance helps to ensure that sirens around the plant are in working order. If members of the public have concerns or are unsure whether or not the activities may be related to the maintenance, call (920) 683-4207 for verification.
