A 25-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy are awaiting charges in the killing of a pizza delivery driver in Milwaukee last Friday. Police say 60-year-old Clarence Taper was robbed while bringing an order from Buddy’s Pizza and Steak to a home on the city’s northwest side. Taper’s family says they’re relieved that somebody was arrested — but in a statement, the family said they couldn’t understand why Taper was killed after he gave the robbers they money they demanded. The restaurant’s mager has suspended deliveries to the neighborhood where the slaying occurred. The Salvation Army is planning a fundraiser so the family can cover funeral expenses — and a GoFundMe page has also been set up.
