Wopat Christmas Concert In Stoughton Canceled

Lodi native Tom Wopat is having a Christmas concert in Stoughton (sto’tn) canceled, after he was charged with sexually assaulting a second female during play rehearsals near Boston. The Stoughton Opera House says it made a “mutual decision” with the 66-year-old Wopat to call off the show so he can focus on his legal situation. He’s been charged with indecent assault and battery, and two counts of accosting a person of the opposite sex. Prosecutors said Wopat inappropriately touched a 16-year-old girl during a rehearsal for the Boston area play “42nd Street” — and he has pleaded not guilty to groping an adult female cast member in the same production.
