Players, coaches and staff members for both the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears linked arms on the sidelines of Lambeau Field Thursday night during the playing of the national anthem. Though Packer fans obviously enjoyed the team’s 35-14 win over their arch rivals, they weren’t as happy about the pre-game exhibit. Very few fans linked arms, as requested. Many cheered and chanted “U-S-A! U-S-A!” while the large American flag was unfurled at midfield before the anthem started. Many small flags were held up during and after the anthem was over.
