The Milwaukee Brewers came into the season with a lot of promising players on the roster, but few expected this: an 84-75 record and a chance at the playoffs entering the final weekend of the season. That’s probably why many fans stayed in the stands after Thursday’s win, giving their team a long standing ovation. Brewers players remained on the field in front of the dugout, letting the fans know they heard them. Some of the players tossed their caps into the crowd. Both players and fans are hoping more games will be played at Miller Park this season. The odds are long, but the door hasn’t closed yet.
