Religious protesters showed up outside two Oshkosh high schools this week, targeting students coming to and from school. District leaders say there were incidents at West and North High Schools where four individuals who are Christian fundamentalists used a loudspeaker to yell at students arriving at or leaving the building. Superintendent Stan Mack tells television station W-B-A-Y that the demonstrators have been confronting students and forcing a discussion about religious beliefs. The demonstrators have been instructed to stay on the sidewalk which is public property. Mack says he doesn’t believe students should have to start their day or end their day with having a confrontation about what they personally believe.
